La escudería, que ya esta pretemporada dejó de asistir a entrenamientos oficiales y de la que tanto se venía hablando por las posibilidades de que dejara este gran circo por la falta de dinero, ha terminado por abandonar. Super Aguri Formula One Team has today announced its withdrawal from the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship.
Participating in Formula One since the 2006 season, the Team, which scored its first championship points after only 22 races (Spanish Grand Prix, 2007) and finished ninth overall in the 2007 Constructors’ Championship, will cease all activities as of 6th May 2008.
Aguri Suzuki, Team Principal, SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM“In order to realize my dream to become an owner of a Formula One Team, I applied for a grid position in the FIA Formula One World Championship in November 2005. Since then, I have participated in the championship for 2 years and 4 months as the SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM, but regretfully I must inform you that the team will be ceasing its racing activities as of today.
The team has competed against the many car manufacturer backed teams and has succeeded in obtaining the first points after only the 22nd race finishing in 9th place overall in the 2007 Constructors’ Championship. However, the breach of contract by the promised partner SS United Group Company Limited resulted in the loss of financial backing and immediately put the team into financial difficulties. Also, the change in direction of the environment surrounding the team, in terms of the use of customer chassis, has affected our ability to find partners.
Meanwhile, with the help of Honda, we have somehow managed to keep the team going, but we find it difficult to establish a way to continue the activities in the future within the environment surrounding F1 and as a result, I have concluded to withdraw from the Championship.
I would like to express my deepest thanks to Honda, Bridgestone, the sponsors, all the people who have given us advise during various situations over the past couple of years all the Team Staff who have kept their motivations high and always done their best, Anthony Davidson who has always pushed to the limit despite the very difficult conditions, Takuma Sato who has been with us from the very start and has always fought hard and led the team and lastly our fans from all over the world who have loyally supported the SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM.»
Para los que no lo dominéis mucho, cojo las palabras traducidas (no me ha dado tiempo a traducirlo todo yo mismo) de F1 al día, por la que me he enterado de la noticia, y que reproduce las declaraciones de Aguri Suzuki, antiguo piloto y jefe de la escudería:
«En 2005 solicité una posición en la parrilla para el Campeonato de Fórmula Uno para poder hacer realidad mi sueño de ser propietario de una escudería de F1. Desde entonces, y hasta la fecha, he participado en el Mundial de Fórmula Uno por dos años y cuatro meses como Equipo Super Aguri F1, pero con pesar debo anunciar que el equipo cesará sus actividades desde hoy».
¿Quién será el siguiente? ¿Toro Rosso, Renault, Honda, Toyota? Más nos vale andar con cuidado porque aunque no lo parezca en cinco años podríamos vernos sin todos esos equipos.
Hay que utilizar alguna manera de asegurarse la perdurabilidad de equipos modestos. Los patrocinadores esperan que todos ganen todas las carreras y eso no es así.

La FIA debería dar puntos de carrera hasta la posición 20, és decir todos los pilotos deberían conseguir puntos a parte de los ocho primeros. Así todos o casi todos los equipos ganarían puntos y habría más competibilidad entre escuderías más modestas. Esto implica mayor competición entre patrocinadores.
No sé mucho de Aguri, pero era un equipo, un equipo más que luchaba por la victoria…
Vereís cómo el siguiente es Force India…
Sería algo interesante, aunque los que estuviesen detrás estarían detrás igual y a los patrocinadores les daría igual tener 0 puntos o 17 si van últimos y no tienen visibilidad (o sólo la tienen para cosas negativas).
Force India tiene a su patrón que es un verdadero apasionado de la F1 y que daría todo lo que tiene (que no es poco) por el equipo, así que no creo que corra peligro.

era fanático de super aguri, pues al ser un equipo chico le puso garra en todas las carreras que compitio, sus pilotos siempre fueron al límite, sobre todo taku gracia super aguro por brindar emoción a la F1
SI OS DAIS CUENTA TODO LO QUE TOCA TAKUMA SATO ES AUTOMATICAMENTE DESTRUIDO LO HIZO EN BAR HONDA TEMPORADA 2005 DONDE QUEDARON SEGUNDOS DEL MUNDIAL GRACIAS A JENSON BUTTON PORQUE TAKUMA SOLO SE DEDICABA A PROBAR LOS SISTEMAS DE SEGURIDAD DEL MONOPLAZA Y LA FIABILIDAD DEL PROPULSOR A 20000 RPM EN FRIO, OS RECUEDO LA SALIDA FAMOSA QUE HIZO EN MONTECARLO Y AHORA EN SUPER AGURI UNA NOBLE ESCUDERIA QUE CORRE CON EL MODESTO MOTOR HONDA DEL ANYO PASADO Y CON UN PRESUPUESTO MUCHO MENOR.
davidin temo decirte que no comparto tu opinión, si recuerdas bien los únicos puntos que consiguio Super aguri fueron de la mano de takuma y recuerdas el sorpaso al campeón del mundo Alonso con un coche inferior al de Maclaren
